Welcome to South Kyme
an attractive Lincolnshire fenland village which lies about 10 miles northeast of the market town of Sleaford.
This website brings together many of the elements of our rural Lincolnshire community. From our local pub, The Hume Arms, to the community groups that use the village hall, St Mary & All Saints church, The Kingfishers and South Kyme Golf Club who have kindly allowed us to use some of their web hosting facility.
Anyone for Boules ? - It has been suggested that we could use the area at the
back of the Coronation Hall to play the popular game of Boules or Petanque and it
should be known. This game is catching on quickly around the UK. How about a Pub
team? First though, we need to learn the game. If anyone is interested contact me,
the webmaster. Click here for a beginners guide to the game.
We are through to the finals of the Community Lincs Best Kept Village Competition. That’s quite an achievement for a first time of entering. Well done to Craig and the team of Saturday morning volunteers for helping to make South Kyme one of the best (if not the best) kept villages in the county.
Village Broadband - to find out just how bad our village broadband speed is, check out BLIMP on the community page of this website. Just register and download a small programme that keep a check on the speeds. Mine is showing as reasonably quick at the moment so we need to show up the slow ones to get an idea about what's going on. Please attend the next Parish Council meeting on Thursday 16th September to learn about the South Kyme initiative.

Judging will take place on Friday 15th October at the 'Pumpkin Evening' at the Coronation Hall. See 'Events Diary 'for mor information
Pub is the Hub - a project supported by HRH The Prince of Wales.
